Got a sticker from Snap On with that phrase for the wifes 79 1/4 mile car. Seems to be true with even my street cars!

Yet another reason to ditch the smog
whats the smog pump? or a better question, what do you gain from deleting it
It is part of teh EGR system to help with emissions. Its ugly, heavy, and in most cases unnecessary. I dont really know the HP gains with it, but weight savings and a cleaner engine bay are reason enough to toss it

99% sure the 350's came in auto only, the 5-speed had the 305

yea i have oned two monte carlo ss. the first one was fast as hell for a 305. i beat several fox mustangs in it.it wasjust a junker i bought for a while while my 01 stang was being built up. i planned on fixin it up but decided later to sell it. it had headers, full exhaust, all emissions deleted, and who knows what else lol but it was pretty fast. i bought another one later on for my girfriend and it is slowwww. they put two different motor setups in those cars. same blocks but deffernt heads, fuel pump, and a few other things. i later found out that the first onei owned was the better motor and worth more. i wished i would have kept it for a while but then i remembered that i bought it for 1000, drove the dog **** outta it, blew the motor and sold it for 1250. made me pretty happy
