3.73 gear installation

3.73 gear installation
i just got my 3.73 gears and everything to install them. a local guy that owns a machine shop in town said he would install everything for 75 bucks. is it worth the hassle to install them yourself?

If you don't know how to install a diff, I wouldn't try it. And I'm skeptical of someone only charing $75 for setting up gears.

hes a friend of my dads. he used to set up the rear ends in our top alcohol funny car

I've done a few sets. The first is a real pain in the ***. That would be $75 well spent. Let him do it.

Thats like a 1/4 of what it usually cost. I say let him do it. Worst case, he screws it up and you go somewhere else and have it done with him payin for it!
