The only conern I have with going O/R is when I swap mid pipes for emissions, that i won't have installation problems or exhaust leaks. How hard is the swap. I might still go O/R cause I can't really afford cats and Magnaflow is just not that loud....O/R would take car of that. I might even go with a X pipe. I need to listen to some X and Hpipe sound clips.

yeah man go for the off road, it will take care of your noise concerns...the swap is easy, i learned the hard way to not let a shop do it..

How much louder would a O/R h pipe be than the same brand in aH pipe w/ cats? Would it be about the samesound increaseu get from swaping out astock H pipe w an aftermarket catted midpipe?

Thanks Albizzo66, I might as well go O/R cause I don't have to worry about emissions for 1 1/2 yrs. Plus I will get a little more power and the exhaust volume will be turned up on these mildly loud Magnaflows.

Not alot different. I have a 2.5" offroad pipe that I just installed 2 high flow cats on. It is not as raspy as the offroad pipe, but at idle and lower rpm about the same sound with my Flowmasters.
OR pipe stink too, I got tired of smelling like exhaust. Now it is clean again with no power loss.
Get a cheap 2.5" O/R pipe and go to www.bearriverconverters.com and order a pair of 500 series converters.#506 is what I got. $107 shipped to my door. Had them installed for $50 at a local muffler shop.
Still alot cheaper than a $350+ H-pipe with cats.

Get the H-pipe, Sounds meaner than a higher pitched X-pipe.

Not a bad Idea...i could just get a O/R H pipe...and if I want later on, install cats. Those cats your're talking about, do they have a High flow rate? Don't you think a Performance High flow cat might out flow it?
