Just throw a few hundred more and get the real deal, you only have to buy it once

What are you talking about ? As much as your on this forum i know you've read about how sh!tty these heads are. There have already been a few guinea pigs. OP do not buy these heads. I know the articles in the magazines seem great, what they dont tell you how much they had to prep these heads because of the poor casting. If that price is your budget go check out corral.net and you can find some nice used aluminum heads for about the same price.

yeah..I 've seen the posts... there was also an article recently ranting about the bang for the buck and they even showed pics and ran it on the dyno..I believe they bolted a set to a stroker..it was in a MM&FF issue recently.......personally I'd like to see a set pulled right off the shelf..to formulate my own opinion rather than just hear say.....irregardless It won't change my choice on what I got!! afr 185's.....I wouldn't buy them but I would like to personally see some first hand.....

A very Reputable engine builder by the name of Ed Curtis, that i'm sure everyone is familiar with has already posted several pics of these heads straight out of the box and posted them on another forum. I know he's an AFR man but he was just sharing the poorquality of these heads for unsuspecting buyers.
