Default I FINALLY STARTED (now with pics)

engine is finally on its way out. im down to pulling trans then getting the enige hoist and getting it out. i will post a few pics tomorrow. its late and im tired. found out i dont have a 95 bottom end but im pissed i broke the block since the cyl walls are still cross hatched. o well.

im looking i might buy a set of gt40's would they be better for a mild set up.typhoon intake, tfs 1 or b-f303. 1.6rr, 19lb inj. all other reg bolt on s***.

so why didn't you just take the hood off and pull the whole motor as an assembly??[&:]..seems like a lot more work in the car than necessary

and no you won't use that kit!! apart from having a suck ace cam = more lift on intake than exhaust[:'(]...a sbf needs it the other way around......anyway that kit is a flat tappet kit..you have a roller cam

thats what i thought. i noticed it wasnt roller. ok so im just gonna go with a b-cam i think. i have no idea yet lol. i have to talk with my machine shop. and i did it like that just because. i dont have my engine hoist yet, and i wanted to get working on this. i had no idea what type of bottom end was in it so i wanted to open it up. the pistons looked perfect, cyl walls are good, and the lifters look good. the vales were not burnt at all. not much carbon on them,i was very surprised for being at least 9yrs old and me and the past few owners beat the **** out of it.

If you want to use a B cam, go with the steeda #18 instead. Basically the same cam except it is a dual pattern and will work better than the B cam.
