Something is not right with your ET.
Mine ran 8.60 @80mph bone stock with only 3.55 gears, MAC 1 5/8 shorties, O/R H pipe. FLowmasters and a K&N replacment filter. It weighed 3360 with me in it. It ran 7.96 @86.9mph with a 1.72 60ft time on worn out 26x8.5" slicks and 100hp shot of NOS. Would have went faster, but I couldn't afford to break it at the time since it was my daily driver, so I didn't launch it ball to the wall and I didn't powershift since my NOS button was on the shifter T-handle.

I think the 4.30's are killing you.

Well, all else being equal, 600lbs can be about .6sec advantage in the 1/4 mile.

I'm guessing it you could hook, you could pull him from a dead stop with those 4.30's.

I wasnt powershifting when I raced. I was using OLD 26x10.5" slicks. The 4.30's are too much gear for my cam and intake.
