questions about head/intake kit on stock shortblock?
Sorry guys, this may seem repetitive from my last question about the intake and headers. I have the 95 5.0 w/ 90,000 that i bought from the original owner who is an elderly fellow that babied the car. I was thinking about buying a head/intake kit from ford racing or trickflow. Would it be worth putting new aluminum heads and intake on the stock shortblock? In other words, would it last or would I be wasting my money? OR Should I just put a 6-8psi vortech supercharger on the car for the same price as heads/ intake/ headers?---------You guys have been so much help-( sorry for the constant questions)

If the engine is running fine now then you should not have a problem. A quick test would be a compression check, that'll give you an idea what shape the engine might be in. Alot of people like FI and there is nothing wrong with that. Personally i like the high compression built n/a engines. It's really up to you. Just remember if you decide to build engine and later go with boost to keep your compression down. I'm not familiar with FI but from what i have heard you want to keep compression somewhere in the range of 8.5-9.5.
