yea get an offroad midpipe of you dont have to go through emissions like bobert said.
I have to go threw emissions.

My 40 series flows were very quiet with the stock H pipe but with an offroad pipe it was a totally different animal, actually quite loud.
So what your saying is get a new offroad pipe...is that the same as an H pipe?
if you want loud, you cant beat glaspacks lol. emissions legal.. but not everyone likes em.

offroad pipe has no cats thats not really good for you unless you wanted to switch your stock mid pipe with the cats for emissions time, even a catted aftermarket mid pipe with one set of high flow cats will make it abit louder and gets rid of the restrictive factory one

just remove the pre cats the two closest to the headers.....You have obd I not obd II.. the cats are not monitored by the ecm in anyway.....removing precatylast will not affect o/2's

flowmasters are so played out...

i went with glasspacks for my '85

im gonna go summit lts with straight pipes to the glasspacks, then dump em..

can ya tell waking the dead is my goal?

EDIT: to actualy answer your question, you dont need all 4. you just need the 2 that are o2 measured
Hoss I would strongly recommend you consider a different LT then summits, when my buddy got his I checked them out (i was considering getting them myself) they where already pitted from rust and painted over, the welds were less then exceptable and if you ever consider getting a mid-pipe the collectors on the headers are not tappered to fit the mid-pipes for mustangs. Just figured I would give you a heads up.

i know what im getting for 100, but they will flow fine, and when wrapped with header tape..i wont see the rust lol. i wont ever run a midpipe on it, unless i change EVERYTHING on the exhaust system. thanks for the heads up tho.. but workin on a budget for a car to screw around with, they will do haha

Even if you don't get an offroad midpipe even a high flow one would be considerably louder.
