didnt you read my most a couple months back im getting a 97 explorer with a rebuilt 5.0 in it has 10k on it only 600 bucks for the whole truck

heck I get so many PM'S daily and look at all the current builds going on on here.. It's hard to remmeber who has what or is doing what..but I'll try to keep in mind yours so I don't forget next time

officer how do you know its your 8th cylinder and why do you think its the rings? i dont burn any oil i just have blow by which creates extra crank case pressure. if your burning oil its most likely a valve guid or something like that

plugs only show oil burning in 8th cyl. i was told rings by a guy i now that has a motor shop. but i still think its valves. the car had bin siting for 3 years before i got it. i have done a compleet tune up on it all but trans fluid and rear end thats next and it runs grate but it smokes a little.

i have 233k on mine now. new headgasket. my lowest compresion was 128 and my highest was 148, but most were around 135psi.
im curious if i can do the leakdown with my comp tester???

oh yeah when i first got it the thing was a wreck wasnt maintained at all and was beat to death. now its maintained and i still beat on her very hard almost everyday and yes she has almost 200k on her
