For the most it turned out pretty smooth.

Roof turned out real nice.

Some orange peel on the door, I needed better lighting.

All of the jambs turned out real nices.

IN A RUSH, I FORGOT TO TAPE OFF THE WINDSHIELD!!!!!

Haha, na it has a big crack in the middle so it's getting replaced so I didn't bother.

Some dust after painting, will buff out not problem. The roof had some hail dents in it that I repaired, can't even see them

This area had a previous repair with too much body filler and was kind of flat. My repair turned out pretty decent IMO, along with the fender flare which had a flat repair in it too.

Really a lot of pointless pictures, but I'm kind of documenting this for myself and I'm just excited about the really shiny smooth paint.

Also, $1250 in parts ordered, about $400 more to order. 1981-83 Master Restorer's T-Top Weather Stripping Kit, Door Handles, Door Body Side Molding, 5.0 Emblems, Cowl Grill and hardware, New Quarter Window, T-Top Lock Set NOS, Tag Light Lens, Molding clips, Door Outer Belt Molding Set, Hatch Striker Bolt (could only find this NOS?), Horn Button Repair Pad, and a few other odds and ends. It's going to be Christmas on my front porch here in a week

Looking good I'm almost done with my first paint job with the help of the guys at autobody101. Its coming out good but nothing compared to the work those guys do.

I've been over on autobody101 about a year now, some really helpful people over there. I've learned a lot from them and they've really helped me. What's your screen name over there?

I actually never signed up but I will now to thank them. I found all the answers to my questions in old threads and I also bought one of the paintucation vidieos which was also a lot of help. Your car looks great did you get any dirt or trash in the paint? No matter how much I cleaned I always got a little trash. I work in a machine shop and we have a paint booth so that's one of the reasons I gave it a go.

Well, it slipped my mind to tack cloth it before painting and my booth wasn't the best so I got some dust in it but I'm going to cut and buff anyways. Going to wetsand with 2000 use meg 105 on a twisted wool pad, 205 on a Lake County CCS white pad, and menzerna 85rd on a LC CCS black pad.

I ordered my parts from FoxResto on Saturday and to my knowledge still haven't shipped yet.. But the quarter windows were out of stock so maybe they're waiting on those to ship the whole order at once. I was going to start weather stripping it this weekend but I guess that will wait and I'll find other stuff to do on it.

Parts were shipped today, looks like they were waiting on the quarter windows. Suppose to only take two days to get here, hoping that means tomorrow but I'm expecting it to be Monday. Next week is dead week and I took off work so I'll have a few days to work on it during the week.
