Default 302 or 306

So i was planning on building a 306 this summer because my motor is in dier need of it(160k). I was just wondering if it would be smarter to just rebuild to stock and buy a good intake, or go ahead and do a 306 and not be able to get an intake? And if i stuck to a 302 what intake would match with gt40 heads and a b303 cam? Thanks

well with 160k on the clock most likely your engine will get bored .030 so it'll be a 306 in the end and as to h/c/i ..choose wisely and you can do better than a b cam

no, the only reason to do a 306 is to get some clean cyl walls.

No, nothing will change, you can keep your same injectors, etc.

As for feeling a different after rebuilding. I couldnt imagine that your motor isnt worn down after 160k. You should feel a difference.

Your not gonna feel a difference at all going from a 302 to a 306, but after 160k it would be stupid not to clean up the walls while it is apart. Many people misconcieve boring for a reason to gain power. Not true at all
