damn.

so imma make it aware that im a total no0b to heads........

so whats the big difference in gt40p's and trick flow's if they make the same power?!!?!?
(weight maybe?)

if you can find gt40p's for cheap.....then whats the bonus of spending 1300 on trickflow's. and other heads?
that was my frame of mind. and at this point i really dont think its the heads holding me back, its the intake, tb and maf that is.....

They don't make the same power and don't be fooled into thinking they do. Nice numbers btw.

thanks!

and btw according to "summit" they make 5 more hp and a crap load less torque, but im sure if i add the throttle body and maf they used id make more power and torque than the summits trickflow setup. if i remember correctly they made like 275 hp and 274 torque, maybe im wrong. so for now ill settle for 270 and 301...... ill repost when i get it retuned with my new 02 sensors and tb setup.

I would take that summit article like a grain of salt. It's not hard at all with a nice cam and a nice intake to get a 302 with trickflow heads to 300whp.

exactly too slow u had to port the **** out of your heads their cam and made 270 people put the trickflow kit right on 150xxx mile shortblocks and make 305rwhp imagine with all boltons and massive porting you would not be anywhere near a trickflow kit.

sorry to start **** im just tired of everyone ragging on the trickflow kit especially when their using its parts[:'(]

Finally..........

now bear in mind im running the stock 58mm throttle body and 70mm maf. Also i have to get new O2 sensors, because they are going bad.

So, my numbers are

270 rwhp and 301 rwtq [:-]

even the dyno guy was like "what the hell?"

he said when i get my O2's replaced, he will retune it. It was at 280 hp, but he fattened up the fuel up top for safety. I wonder if i get a bigger T.B. and maf what I can get out of this?????
Hey man! great to see you finally got your numbers. I promise to get mine soon, but I am not starting my build til march 15th which is when i get the car out of storage. My lower of my Tubular GT-40 is ported, and so are my GT-40s and they have slightly larger valves. I also am using a BBK 70mm TB and a 80mm MAF so if you got 270rwhp I am hoping to see 285-300 with mine at the wheels, but mine might come out low bec I'm getting tuned on a MustangDyno and I know those give lower numbers, but after i got my tune I will prolly run over to the local Dynojet and just get a base line for the #....then of course I'll have my 100 shot tune on top of that haha.

jt, i wasnt smack talking trickflow. i think they make a great product. i just dont think that the kit make 350-60 hp out of the box like they advertise. as far as im concerned, my setupwill bepretty well maxed out once i get a tb and maf. im sure if i used all tf products and gave it the same thought, time, and love as i gave this setup, i would make quite abit more power. but nont the less, im very surprised at the powerband i have right now. i thought i was gonna lose alot of power down low, but i made more power everywhere, which is nice since its my daily driver.

so does this mean i have around 325 hp and 365 tq at the crank?

hey bikeboy, who did your port work? im looking foreward to your numbers too....
one thing to keep in mind is my shortblock only has 10k miles on it, so that may play a factor.
