Default Painting engien block?

Rebuildin a 350 to drop in my s10, and I wanna paint it while it's out to clean it up a bit.

What's the best stuff to use for painting the block and heads and what not? Any suggestions on what color? It's a black s10.

I was thinkin of just doing like a gray or somethin since I'm planning on having the whole truck blacked out with a bit of gray or chrome here and there.

only way to get headers painted is have them professionaly jet coated that i know of.. inless you want to spray paint them and watch um smoke for days.. but other then that just normal engine paint is all i used held up pretty good.. But one think make sure you prep the block really good. Get every bit of oil grease off of it.. If not it wont last very long..

That's not true, just sandblast the headers and coat them with VHT Flameproof header paint...

I used the $5 dollar autozone stuff to paint my 302 and it came out really well actually. I sold it right after so I dont know how it held up but it seemed really good when I got done with it.
