help choosin a motor
iight i have 1988 mustang gt and im cravin power im debating between swappin out the stock 302 for a 351 or goin all out and droppin a big block into it...which is the smarter move? i kno the big block will have more power but how much work will it take to get it into the car and how much power can i push out of a 351?

How much power? I would definitely stick with a small block and either stroke your 302 or step up to a 351 and stroke it. It all depends on your goals and budget....your not giving us much to work with here. What do you plan on doing with the car?
Maybe somebody else can help me out with this but I believe that the factory302 blocks can go up to 500hp and the 351's up to 600?

If you are going automatic you might check out Art Carr Performance or if you are going manual probably the TKO-600.
Check out fordstrokers.com....I have never used him but have heard very good things about his work. He does the big inch windsors as well as the 331's and 347's

Stroked N/A 351 based motors with the right chassi setup will sling you DEEP into the 10's, if not 9's
