well i wouldn't think for a second that every mustang is going to be the same, i don't think ford's quality control is that solid. Keep in mind it's an older vehicle and may still be running original coolant, a flush could do wonders. I'd take it for a long drive and then let it sit and idle for a while and see what it does, pop the hood and see if it seems like it's running too hot. After my head swap my car would get really hot while sitting in traffic and it got hella sluggish, see if that's the same for that car.
Also it may just need a new Tstat.

huh yea thats wat i wanted to do is checck the quality of the coolant then if needed a thermostat but its a arizona car and its hot there so if he never over heated i shouldnt but yea ill check those things out.
If stock came with a 180 t stat would it be bad to go to a lower degree

Mine usually runs around the O or the R when I'm taking it easy. When I get on it a few times it creeps up around the halfway point and if I'm at the track or autocrossing it usually gets past that around the M or even the A. I know it's been awhile since the radiator has been flushed and I have a 180* thermostat that I haven't put in yet. This is all inFloridaBTW.

Mine is usually around the n or o
Used to run very hot though, a new thermostat (and fixing that blow head gasket) did the trick
After I swapped in my cobra intake though, it ran alot hotter than it did stock with the original thermostat in it
