Default should i call BS?

heres a conversation i had with a guy over myspace, what do u think?

well i have speed density lol but ya the setup on mustangforums was my old setup but i sold that stuff to a bud, now its been bored to a 306, i now have ported and polished e7's very similar to thumpers, about the biggest cam i can run with the speed density, .600 lift springs, roller rockers, ported intake, inch spacer, 70 mm throttle body, eliminated ac, double roller timing chain, and all arp hardware, 373 gears no more drag radials, need new ones, lower upper control arms lowering springs, subframe connectors, castercamber paltes, strutbrace bar, iuve tweak with the computer alittle, but imma bout to switch over to a mass air. in about a year i will be tearing everythng out and either doing a 400 horse 347
or a 500+ horse twin turbo setup with the 306 so

I would think it's more in the ballpark of250 rwhp. Hard to tell with the "biggest SD cam" B.S.And I will be willing to bet his home ported heads are nothing like Thumpers.

Maybe I'm too oldto understand, but why would you even talk about cars on "myspace". I would think this is thekind of crap you would see on a normal basis.

yeah thats major bs.
its hard to reach 300hp when you have a GOOD hci combo.
anyone running e7's wont get anywhere close to that mark, no matter how much work is done to them.

it is b/s .512 is about the limit on stock sd .70mm is hard to run with stock sd . with 40p heads .512 lift cam and 40p intake the car would push around 298 at the crank ,transfer loss will put it at 280 at the wheel unless he is useing 100 shot , (which it is not listed ) he would hit a little over 300hp , i know the e7's can be worked to get good flow but being compared to a thumper no way . the guy ain't got a clue .

he could easily have 250-260 hp at the rear wheels wich is close to 300 hp at the crank assuming a 15% drivetrain loss

That sounds about right......

A lot of people do an H/C/I and with all the advertising of 300HP+, they think with a few more bolt-ons (headers, pulleys) that they are in the 400HP range...

Sad thing is, they are no where close...
