I'd say its too different for every car/driver. I have stock 3.08's, stock engine, recent tuneup/oil chance. Always keep my car running smooth, but my heavy foot seems to dorp me to 13mpg or so. I've seen some people with heavy mods get better than me.

The low 3.73 gears will be your biggest handicap in mileage.
I had a 3.08 geared 88 Mustang before and now have a 3.73 geared 93. I routinely got over 20mpg straight highway with the tall gears. With 3.73's I mid to high teens.
I'm sick of the poor mileage and will be swapping to 3.27's soon.
Hopefully it doesn't slow my et too much.

lol i used to get that^^^^....but actually i just took my car to school the other day for the first time ...5spd, 3.73 gear...and ill admit i was grannyin it...shifted at like 2 1/4...and only drove 62-65 the entire day..but 90 miles later..i had gotten about 21...so i couldnt complain with that.
