there is no set number for how many t-top cars were made in 1988 but a number that has been thrown my way more then onceis 281 total. In my 5.0 mustang book it was said that less then 800 so still verry rare. Also alot less lx's with t-tops were built a majority of them are gt's, then if your factor in how many were 5spd etc etc. if it needs that body work id try and throw him maybe 1500-2000$? i got mine for around that area

Ibelieve that is a combo for the both of them i know for a fact that there are less lx's though you just dont see that many of them! if you mean by market for them potential buyers or parts for the t-top cars the answer is yes to both. Potential buyers there are people that make these saught after but then again alot of people like buying foxes to modify and t-tops might be a turnoff with flexing... Parts for them are available from 50resto, cj pony parts... for the roof basically cause thats the major difference. if you could ****** the car up for a good price you should it will be interesting to see what these cars turn into in the next few years, although the market for everything pretty much is down... if you need links to the websites id be happy to get them for you.

Fairly rare, but don't expect it to be worth a whole lot more if you go to sell it, seeing as its not a low mileage/never wrecked car
