afr 185

Default afr 185

would afr 185s work with an f 303 cam? or would i need to get the pistons notched? when i had the engine rebuilt this summer i had new flat top pistons put in but idk how they compare to the stock pistons

AFR says you need notched pistons to run AFR 185s because of the 2" intake valves.

ok then how do the 165s compare? for mild mods like mine (f cam, trick flow intake,

the 165s are still a great head with great power potential. The 185s do flow more but it's not a huge difference.

Here is a little food for thought. The Twisted Wedge 185cc head will clear the stock pistons with the F-cam. For your application I would recommend the 170cc head which is also a 2.02" intake valve head and will clear.
