Just a Curious Question: Prices
I know the mythological creature, Stock 5.0 is tough to find.
But I've been curious recently as to what I would expect to pay for a '85-'86 GT with 'lower' miles.
And the same for a '87-'93.
Prefer a notch/hatch from 87+.
Could a mid 60-70K mile fox in good shape be found for under 5-6 grand?

RE: Just a Curious Question: Prices
It really depends were you're located, there was a guy in here from NY saying he paid 10k for his and I think it took him a while to find one period.
I live in the Bay Area and Mustangs around here from the 60-70k miles woud go for atound 6-6.5k.

RE: Just a Curious Question: Prices
Prices are as varied as condition of the cars... set your price and start looking. Eventually you may find what you are looking for. I set a max price of 4500 when I started looking. After about 7 months and onlyGod knowns how many cars, I realized what I wanted I could not get for that kind of money. I eventually found my car for 7250 and snatched it up knowing, that for the condition it was in, it was a great deal.

RE: Just a Curious Question: Prices
Yea, I'm not really looking now. Almost out of college and I'll have to pay for student teaching/not working very much in the fall.
Then I have to move out sometime and get married in the next 2-3 years.
Just wondering what osme people were paying for cars like the one in your signature
I love them :-)

Looked for about 1yr. for a clean fox body, saw alot of junk. FinallyFound my 93GT, clean, 65,000 miles. Only had u/d pulies, cai and flowmaster mufflers added. Paid 6k here in CT.I just can't leave it like that though, the list of mods keeps growing.

RE: Just a Curious Question: Prices
i was gonna get a fox for like 3500 in flordia, 88sd 5 speed, good shape. well it didnt work out so i went around the local places and found a sn95
cracked head and needed alot of tlc (needs fresh paint and minus a dent or 2, and the motor lol)
i was going to rebuild it all anyways, so i picked it up for $1,300

WTF?
Anyway, I picked up my 91 GT for $1100. Exterior was faded and falling to pieces and the interior was dirty, torn, ripped and cracked. All is well now .
