DSS website claims

12s
12.62@103 MPH....306 Bullet w/ stock heads, emissions legal
12.19@119 MPH....306 Pro Bullet, emissions legal daily driver

is this true and is DDS a good company?

You can run 12's on street tires with a 302 if you set the car up right. A 347 would definately get you there.

My 302 in my sig WITHOUT the nitrous will run high 12s. It is my DD and has 105,000 miles on it. It will easily go another 100,000 miles or more. And no....DSS is not a good company, they just use old Ford Blocks. You don't need a new block to run 12s. Put together a good h/c/i with from drag radials and you will be in the high 12s and your car will still be as reliable as when it left the factory

:eek:EVERY RACE COMPANY OUT THERE USES FORD FACTORY seasoned blocks for their base core builds:eek:.....unless otherwise specified to uses a aftermarket block......coast high, DSS, ford strokers..ect ect!!!!......all use factory blocks unless you want something else.....as for DSS??nO COMMENT!!....i WENT WITH fORD STROKERS;).......and you don't need a 331 to run high 12's.. a well built 302 will do that with ease;)

I can't wait to have my 83 become my DD and run high 12's. I have the heads to do it but I don't have the money just yet to get the rest of the car set up.

^^^^yeah that's what I thought when my 85 was running 12.70's/ 12.80's a few years back ..I thought that was fast enough but them dang ls-1 ss camaros would give me hell with only a few bolt ons and corvettes were a royal pain[:@];)...so it lead me to where I'm at now!! an over modded glorified toy;)

i got a 331, its easier to get more hp with the 347, more cubes, feed the air and fuel and bam u got hp :)
a basic h/c/i 331 will be in 12's easily, and yes reliable.

Lol yea I hear ya. There are alot of kids here around the Ft. Hood area that have cars they think are fast. They go out and buy new cars and have them modded from the dealer. Alot of rice grows in Texas;)(even in the stangs unfortunatly). But yea all in do time. Maybe I can talk my wife into letting me get some work done next year when we get to claim 2 kids instead of 1 (just found out she is pregnant again!).
