i think it has to do with something being loose in the drivetrain from being old
i have a new engine and driveshaft so i know its not that, that leaves something in the tranny (input shaft maybe?) or the diff
my tranny is god-old so when it dies im gonna get a new one, if that doesnt solve the bucking its GOT to be something in the back

Yep Yep. It's the nature of the beast esp when the nasty ace cam.

I guess I'm not alone with this one. Sure suprised to learn some carbs set up do this too.

My other manual trans vehicle is a carbed 87 Ram with a 5 spd. I can drive from idle up to any rpm, let off and run it back to idle with a glass of wine on the hood. So it's not carb related.

How about those springs in the clutch disc hub? Maybe it's their fault.
