Default wanting Mustang- what do you think

Looking at a 92 limited edition 5.0convertiblewith 48,000 miles. Car has not been driven much in last 2 years but runs and drives fine. Was down a quart and 1/2 oil but did not smoke, could be neglect. Top as well car is very dirty but not torn. The white leather has the stress marks all over but no tears.
Everything needs a thorough cleaning top to bottom. Engine does not leak but is showing pitting on intake and a/c etc,
I know I'd have to change oil, trans fluid, filters, tune up and such.
The white boot is missing and the dreaded cigarette door is broken.
The special wheels are perfect and tires are good. The paint can be restored and the car appears never to have been hit. Second owner.
Only 2,096 special editions made of which around 500 were 5 speeds. This is a 5 speed and shifts and releases good.
Bone stock down to the silencer in the air box. Stock mufflers. Vibrant red the only color that year.
Question is besides the mechanical stuff does this sound like something that might reach collectible status ? There is a forum dedicated to Special Edition cars but I wanted you guys opinion.
He wants 6000 for it. I'd have to buy a boot, fix the ash tray, and do the fluids, tune up, etc, What would you say/pay ? Would I have too much in it after fix up ?
Thanks.

Need pics... ^^^^Like he said though, if that's the true mileage and you plan on just restoring it and not driving it very often that's a good price...

Dont hold your breath on the Fox Special Ed.'s ever being worth a lot of money
like the '93 Cobra are. They just arent that special.

Price sounds fair if it really only has 48k miles
