Has anyone ever reverted a custom to stock?

Has anyone ever reverted a custom to stock?
With all the conversation I've been having in the 170HP thread (thanks tongs to the folks involved, too!) I've started wondering:
What would it take to rollback to a rear bumper, front bumper and rocker panels? I'd need to land the coil and ignition unit. I'm gonna stick with some of the mods, like the pulleys, 70MM BKK throttle body and K&N... but one wonders: would it improve the car?
This means getting rid of... sniffles... the spoiler I love and everyone else hates. Oh well.
Anyway, I'm curious if anyone's ever actually stripped a body kit off a car and reverted to the stock look?

This wing: Saleen S281 Wing
These wheels (I wish): Saleen wheels on Ebay
I guess I could live with that... time to revisit the budget.

OK, Onyx, I'm taking your comments to heart and looking around for Saleen wheels, at least to get the pricing down, and trying to find the S351 or S281 wing (since they use the same '94 front fascia, rockers and rear bumper, I'll really take either wing). I've been fending off people who diss my spoiler for almost 2 years and you're the guy who got me thinking "Make the look all-Saleen and it'll really look awesome".
In any case, just thought you might like to know. I'm also planning on pulling the extra logos off the car.

Personally I think Onyx is right and if you finish the job the car would make a real nice Saleen replica, but considering that it is a Cobra, I would convert it back to stock.
