Rollerized, (tip and fulcrum) Pedistal style Rocker Arms, pretty good $$ IMO:
In 1.7:1---
PRO-66878 $175.95
Proform Pedestal Mount Extruded Aluminum Roller Rocker Arms Full Roller, Aluminum, 1.7 Ratio, Ford, 5.0

In 1.6:1--
PRO-66879 $175.95
Proform Pedestal Mount Rocker Arms, Pedestal Mount, Full Roller, Long Slot, Standard Body, Aluminum, Blue Anodized

And there are these for $159.95 Crane Cams 52800-16 but they are stock style, I guess you could be super stealth with these??

Ok well... after some grinding on the inside of my valve covers I managed to get these rockers to fit without clearance issues. It sounds like it has a deeper tone, I can definatly notice the increase in performance through the powerband.....

One problem and I need some advice.

At about 5400 Rpm+ there is a strange noise. It almost sounded like teh engine was cutting out but it didnt bog, instead after about a second of the noise i slammed second at about 5700 and chirped em and kept goin.

Could it be the lifters not returning to the original position in time after opening the valves?
Do i need to get stiffer valve springs or do other work like valve stems? Or should i just refrain from taking it above 5250 rpms. It performs perfectly, better than before. That noise at high rpms is all I hear.

It was my understanding that the stock valve springs don't do to well with 1.7 rocker arms? you could be getting some valve float.

This is with 1.72 rockers....

Im almost positive its valve float.

So should I get stiffer springs? what spec should I be looking for? Im clueless when it comes to spring specs.

Its perfectly tolerable.... i just cant go bast 5500 anymore [:@]sorry rice.

I'm not sure what springs you should go with but if a piston smacks into a valvedue to valve float you will have major problems
