1995 Mustang GT

So I just recieved my new 95 cobra upper and lower that I bought used. It looks like its in great shape and all. I just want to clean it out. I bought a large container, large enough for both the upper and lower. Can I soak it in a water solution with simple green extreme concentrate or will that damage anything. I want to soak it for atleast 24hrs, then let it dry out for another 24 before I install it. Does any of this sound feasible or should I use a different product to soak it in?

If you can find friend that has access to a parts washer that is the best. Otherwise I would use a few cans of carb cleaner with some small brushes to get in the ports

yep parts washer and if u can blast the lower or both to get em really clean and new lookin

i heard you could use one of those self service car washes. if you have a pick up you can just put it in the bed of the truck and use the gun they have to spray it clean but you have to make sure to spray it down with wd40 while your cleaning it to keep rust down.
