I'm a firm believer in not needing big parts to make big power, only the right parts. And AFR's seem to do really well right out of the box. That XE282 is the biggest HR cam they make for the street 302's isn't it? I wonder how the 347 would run with one of their newer XFI stroker cams designed for 347's. Or a nice custom solid roller from CI.

Congrats on making the 11 second pass. I missed that one.Swapping to a sticker tire might help a little more, the track sure seemed slick yesterday.Around 11 I was running my dads car and it hooked so hard the rear control arm bracket bent and jammed the rr tire into the front of the quarter panel. It scared the crap out of me because it sounded like the axle broke.
I also went ahead and fixed my car yesterday afternoon. I drove it today to my shop with open headers. Next time I should be out there racing my car with you and bernie.

If it'll run consistant 11's I don't see a need to tear into it to start changing crap just to find a couple of tenths.

thats good, *typically* they dont break for no reason regardless if there is 1 mile or 1000 miles. I build my own junk and let it fly, yes its much easier if I blow my stuff up as I just remachine on my time, but seriously a ton of motors go from stand to engine dyno and there is nothing harder on an engine than an engine dyno loaded.
