Advanced Timing and Gas expense

Advanced Timing and Gas expense
Roughly calculated that I will spend $1920 per yearfilling up on 91 oct running 14* timing and $1680 if I run timing at 10*.Is it worth spending the extra 240.00 per year to run advanced timing. I considering backing in down to 10* and just bolting something on to make up for the hp you gain from a timing advance. What your guys take on paying more for gas to run advanced timing?

RE: Advanced Timing and Gas expense
My other toy is a 5.9L Ram so I drive the Mustang to save fuel.
I've advanced my timing up to 16 and with 87 octane I can hear a faint sign of detonation only on the hottest summer day, climbing a hill with a cement wall beside me in too high of a gear for full throttle. Since I've backed it down to 14 deg and run still have only run 87 octane.
Tried a couple tanks of 93 octane and found ZERO difference.
