yeah, money is real tight right now.( my son was diagnosed with autism and his special school is kinda expensive.) but hey, priorities are priorities. yeah know. so its been a lil slow going. but i'm in the home stretch now. need maybe $500 to finish it. besides paint. i'm gonna paint it all black and get my buddy to air brush neon green outlines of puzzles pieces all over it. he said he'd do it on the cheap for me. i just wanna get it running down the track right now. lol

congrats on how its coming man, and congrats to you and your son , i grew up with friends that my mom baby sat that had autism and i have seen what it is like for the kid and family ...props to you and thats cool about the paint scheme....
you know we want to hear a sound clip of that beast when shes runnin..

oh yeah.. gonna get some vid of it running down the track. i know it's gonna sound mean as hell. i'm gonna run shorties with turn outs right behind the front wheels. no mufflers, baffles or anything. gonna be loud as hell. lol

well, its been a while but i got some more done. got a lot actually. lol
motor is done besides throttle bracket. car is fully wired(except electric fan), new hatch it on, got some newer front springs(ground pounder), picked up a set of hooker competition headers yesterday for a song. lol still gotta get it painted but i'm gonna wait till after its running to do that. heres some pics. i've posted some of these in other threads. you might have seen them. if thats against the rules i delete the others.
motor in and 99% complete.(yes those are stock exhaust not staying on.)
interior.
new hatch.(i'll get some pics of it installed tomorrow.)
new(to me) front springs. i used the red ground pounder springs. 3/4" taller and not a progressive rate.
now for the deal i got yesterday.
guy had a set of hooker competition stubbies. of course i dont have any cash. so i see if he needs some parts to trade. well to make a long story short. i traded him a 12" cerwin vega stealth sub-woofer for them. the sub i haven't used in about 3yrs. just been sittin on a shelf in the garage. heres some pics.
sub i traded.
heres the headers. they had some surface rust on them but nothing major.
i cleaned them up.
not a bad deal if i do say so myself. but heres the kicker.
as we talked about our cars. he asks if i had an electric fan yet. i say no. he turns around and picks one up from his shed and says here ya go for free. works good. i was like awesome. guy was real cool. so thats $50 i dont have to spend.
