Something noody mentioned... make sure to check your local restrictions. Around here some counties alow you to tint the front and some dont. Mine doesnt so i had the rear 1/4s and rear tinted with limo and the front with medium. This was just enough of a contrast not to get pulled over for but still enough to look really good.

alright, well im contemplating doing it myself, but idk where to get it. If im gunna do it i wanna get some decent stuff. What stie do you order from or are there any generic places that sell good stuff. Im in the northeastern area.
Unless your gonna tint more than YOUR car, I would take it to a pro and save your self the time, money, and frustration. You might save your self some money, but I'll be far from being perfect. There nothing worst than a nice ride with a bad tint job. Cheap tint will fade and deteriorate quickly and cost you more money to scrap off later.

I had my '93 notch done this past Sunday. The old tint was so bad it was looking through a fish bowl in the rear window. The guy removed all the old tint for $40 and the new tint was $139. Tax out the door was $193 and it looks great. He did the legal tint on the drivers and passengers door and a medium dark on the 1/4 windows and the rear window. Lifetime warranty so the borchure says. He mentioned that the dew wipe strip looked pretty old and it might scratch the tint. So, yesterday I removed the door panels with the dew wipe strip attached. Today I ordered the new dew wipe strips along with mounting screws and the new doorpanel push pins. I hate to do the same job twice and I sure didn't want to scratch the new tint.
