I'm going to the track hopefully on Saturday for the first time, I'm thinking about taking out the passenger seat, spare tire, and jack. Hopefully I don't look like an idiot the first couple of times!

ya take all the crap out of your trunk, also make sure you have nothing loose in the car. I am not sure how strict they are there but at my track they are very strict loose items in your car

Watch a couple rounds first, and check out what others are doing. Pay attention to the spotters. Also, familiarize yourself to where the turn-offs are. The lane closest to the them has the right of way when exiting the track. Be aware of your surroundings, and where the car is in the other lane. And please....don't be the guy that drives through the pits at 40mph.

thanks for the tips guys, my buddy is bringing his brothers helmet with him so I am covered there
and the track we are going to is lax on tech.
should I keep only 1/2-1/4 tank of gas in her to cut down on weight? or is that asking for running out of gas or getting air in the line? I dont have a sumped tank.......yet....

Ive already got a challenge, one dude who is going with an 89 vert wants to have some vert on vert action....
except he has a Cai, full exhaust, compared to my stupid side setup, and gears... possibly Long tubes by may 10th, not sure.... dont know what kind of trans he is running tho, I still have stock gears so I may be at a disadvantage.
I'm looking forward to it.
I shouldnt lower my tire pressure right? thats would be only if I had slicks correct?

Air up your front tires....other than that, every one else has you covered.
Definitly watch other people stage before you go...you don't wanna be the guy that doesn't know how to stage, or runs right thru it and has to back up.
