89 5.0 going to carb w/aode

89 5.0 going to carb w/aode
I want to convert my 89 lx 5.0 convertible to carb, but am not sure what to do with the aode. Does it need any computers or controllers? If I ditch the computer, will it still shift right? Just wondering what it needs to run right.
