Its not so bad, I run sidepipes and Im never bothered by the smell. My gf is though. Everyone says my car is really loud, but I disagree.

you can always register the car to a county that doesnt have emission laws..that is if you have a cabin or know someone with a cabin in the mountains or something.
That's an interesting idea. My brother-in-law has a cabin up in Big Bear. I'd imagine they have emissions laws up there though. Worth checking out though. Thanks everyone for all the replies.

nah man i checked it out on the dmv website a little while ago- there are some counties that dont require it. i was going to register it in calaveras county
this is straight off CA DMV website...i think big bear is san bernadino county? not sure. anyways if you know anyone thats not in these counties youll be chill

These counties are: El Dorado, Placer, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Sonoma.
