At the end of last summer I had my engine rebuilt and only got to drive it 2500 mile at most and don't remember what the engine builder put in when I got the car back. I changed the oil before storing for the winter before I went back to school. I am taking the car out this weekend and changing the oil and was wondering what the best oil and weight for a new motor? Would 20W-50 be good or should I go less? Also I know people say stay away from Fram filters so what would also be a good filter? Thanks

+1 for that. Who told you to run 20w 50? An FL 1A is the motorcraft filter in case you were wondering. I always run Mobil 1 in my cars if they're built, or Castrol GTX in my cheap daily drivers. Haven't had any problems.
