7.5 Rear end carnage (pics)
 

Well so at lunch I disassembled the differential to examen damage and prematurely I had ordered new spyder gears and clutch pac based on what I could see un assembled..well needless to say 15 min later I canceled order cause the axle surfaces where bearings ride were starting to pit.... seals were starting to leak and pinion seal I already knew it leaked and the carrier bearings were starting to pit up also and apart from the known broken pieces the pin that the spyder gears rides on was damaged / scored[:'(].........and the thrust washers were toast also.....so needless to say the entire rear end needed a rebuild and I really don't want to throw 250.00 to 300.00 into a 7.5 rear when I have a used 8.8 sitting at my dad's house which my brother was kind enough to pick up this evening for me...so here are the pics!! death of the 7.5....!!!!! the 8.8 shall finally grace the wheel wells!!!!:D

I had that happen2 times but that was when I didnt know any better and over pressed the berrings but I was learning.. good luck with the 8.8 throw some 4:10 in there

well I wanted 4:10's in the 85 but I don't feel like pulling the rear from that to swap into the 92 cause I want 3.73's in the 92 so looks as if I'm just gonna put 3.73's in it;)

What car had that rear? I have a couple 8.8's with 3.73's I could sell. I am gonna be pulling mine in my 86 to do the 01 Cobra IRS soon. I also have a turbo coupe rear with 3.73's and disc brakes

nothing some duct tape and super glue can't fix;) jk.
