Yea it does take some tweaking here and there to get the end to look right lol. I just removed my entire H this weekend for the first time since Iadded my tails to swap the trans and I am hoping that it won't take much to get the tail pipes straight like they were. I have some tight clearances in the rear.

I feel your pain here, my Bassani fits pretty bad. The right muffler is almost touching the frame, the pipe over the axle almost hits the frame, after the axle it hits the gas tank and the right tailpipe almost hits the muffler... [:@]

Both of my tail pipes are really close to my upper control arms, and my passenger side muffler is really close to my brake line and fuel like but far enough away not to cause problems. Mine was a v6 and I havn't done the proper swaps in the rear with the brake lines yet so they ride right on the frame. My tails have been on this car, then onto a 98 and now back on my 83 again so where the muffler connects is some custom cuts and welds with old pipes pieced together .

ususally you keep header pipes loose and use a screw jack to push the back of x or h pipe up close to body then tighten down header connection...if your caTBACK WON'T ALLOW IT.. YOU may have to cut out some of the flow tubes
+1

ihad thesame issue so i just loosened everything up including the catback bolts and jacked the middle half up. Afteritsjacked up align everything, check clearances, and tighteneverything down and you should be good to go.
