well I talked to a couple machine shops today, and most of them told me I would be better off selling the heads and buying aluminum ones. they said for the cost of the port and polish job I could buy a nice set of aluminum heads. What do ya think?

Why not just have them surfaced and a valve job done? or just run them as is, you will pick up some power. Iknow I did.

port them urself. i will be. also you should get them freshened up w/ new valve seals, springs and get them milled .030 cuz the explorers had lower compression then our mustangs.

You will gain a 1/2 point of compression by using unmilled GT40P heads on a stock 5.0 mustang engine, even more if you have them milled.

What do they regularly go for on Craigslist?

And whats the difference between GT40 and GT40P, is there a deifference or is it the same thing?

How much power would that add, I mean i know I wont be pushing a ton, but im just thinking in the long run would it be worth it? Im not looking to get a lot more power, my plan is to get up around 300.

I dont really see them on craigslist anywhere around me, but I have seen a clean pair go on ebay for as much as 300 bucks.
