Replacing Rear Main seal

Replacing Rear Main seal
So I have a 88 GT. Whats all involved with changing the rear main seal, i know about dropping the tranny and all that, but will i need any special tools. Do I just press the seal in, or is it a 2 peice deal where I have to remove the crank.
