yeah how much does it get driven and how long has it been runnin cause any one knows that is a ticking time bomb , why do that do it right aftermarket block and good tune and turn up the boost and not worry about it to an extent.

start from the rear and build forward thats what i am doing. (o and do suspension also before you touch your engine)
I started with a built 8.8, then went to a TKO 600, and full suspension (almost done) so that whne i started building the engine up i would not have to worry about breaking stuff even though i know something will probably break, it will be less likely to happen
but a budget would definatley help with getting you started on pieces....dart block???/
Kyle
You know thats a really good suggestion but i'm a supporter of the run it till you break it method. Just keep building it up until sometihng breaks. When it breaks buy a bigger stonger better part. lol =)

For the motor, start with some Trickflow Twisted Wedge Heads, Ported GT40 intake, and a custom cam. That setup will get you 290-300rwhp with a good tune. Once you get your Kenny Bell, you'll already have your GT40 lower that's ported so you'll be all set with a nice lower intake to bolt the blower on. Once you have your Kenny Bell, you could easily see high 450-500rwhp through that setup. Keep in mind, you need all the supporting mods such as injectors, fuel pump, MAS, exhaust, intake, chip, etc. Starting with the HCI I mentioned above will keep you satisfied until you are ready to jump into the bigger power.

What else is done to the car? Gears, SFC's and control arms will make the car quicker.

That sounds like a great plan but i plan on trying to run max boost on the KB and aparently that will destroy the stock block, so i'm just going to build this 5.0 modestly and get a dart block and start over with spare money and swap out motors.
