RE: Best Parts for Built 5.0
your options are numerous....it's more so the right combo of parts matched........first define your goal of what et you want it to run and choose a h/c/i from there

To get a certain E.T., you may also want suspension to factor in, not just engine pieces.
What is your budget? That is most important to a goal that you want to acheive.
I would personally ask what MPH you would want to acheive at your given weight, then make a combination off that.
Later, set-up the drivetrain/suspension and your golden.

RE: Best Parts for Built 5.0
start from the rear and build forward thats what i am doing. (o and do suspension also before you touch your engine)
I started with a built 8.8, then went to a TKO 600, and full suspension (almost done) so that whne i started building the engine up i would not have to worry about breaking stuff even though i know something will probably break, it will be less likely to happen
but a budget would definatley help with getting you started on pieces....dart block???/

RE: Best Parts for Built 5.0
Well for now im just trying not to dump too much money into it cause im a college student, dont have a hell of a lot of income. I want to make it fast but not build like a whole new custom motor block and all. I think sticking with the stock block woudlnt be a bad idea. For now just do like H/C/I, and work from that. i also want to get a kenne bell later on in honor of my buddy who just recently died (we always argued turbo and supercharger, and i guess he won lol). And at that point i'm going to get a new crank/rods/pistons so i can lower the compression ratio so the charger will work right. Does a 331 stroker kit require the block to be boared over? Suspension was also a top on my list because i dont want it to be a drag car. MM Max Grip Box for the win. I know i said street/strip but i more meant stree/autocross/road race. I was just curious which H/C/I combo made the most power and which stroker kit was the best for a supercharger. Thanks again guys
