what kind of anti-theft device do you use
i have an 86 gt vert that i'm fixing up . i'm the original owner and all the trim, weatherstripping, bushings etc are stock. so i figured it was time to replace. along with lots of other fun things. i see and read all about everyones tricked out ponies and was wondering what kind of anti-theft devices does everyone use. my car wasn't much of a looker so i didn't worry too much. but when i'm all done it's going to be quite appealing to some. input will be greatly appreciated. also can anyone give input on how to insure a car that's not worth anything to an insurance co.? this is a car i will have forever and is my daily driver (avg. 65 miles per day) so classic custom car coverage is out of the question.

i have a $65 lock, that gos over the brake pedel, and is bright shiney chrome (bling bling[&:])
my car's a 89, so you could still pop the ignition, and put the car in drive...... but your not stopping the thing[>:]
makes me feel a little better having it there.
im prob going with an ignition kill switch (all you have to do is wire a switch to your silinoid)
and im prob some day, after a hood, fat tires, and everything else visual, ill be getting a proximity alarm, that will beep at you if you get within 5ft of the car.
as far as your question about insuring a car that is worth nothing to an insurance company, but everything to you...........
im insured through state farm, and all i have to do is find someone that inspects cars (for me its a classic car dealership about a half mile from me, only charges $50, and they will look up the value of everything on your car) then take that to my insurance, and they will cover everything from your paint job, to your custom engine!
im pretty sure it raises the price pretty high for insurance, but id rather do that, then get $2500-3000 for my fox that has over $18k invested in it
