exhaust help???

Default exhaust help???


im putting an exhaust system on my 87 gt and its an off road x pipe and 2.5" cat back. im taking the stock h pipe off and i notice that its got a little tube welded to it and it runs up into the engine compartment and connects to some rubber tube.. i tihnk its the smog pump or sumething??? my new x pipe doesnt have anything like that so i dont know what to do with it? let me know please![/align]

That metal line goes to the back of your heads and then connects to thesmog pump. Your X pipe should have that tube that comes off it. If you can, get rid of your smog pump and that metal line and plug the heads.
