so im in the middle of changing fuel pumps in my car and my lock ring needed replaced. i picked one up from a local shop, then had to take it back this afternoon cause i didnt fit it had 3 grooves and mine tank has 4. when i took it back the shop said they had seen this before and that it was an american tank. but looking for the part ive found both all from american sites.

why do you need a new lock ring? but i'd just go with the one from lmr

i need a new lock ring cause the one i had was rusted out abd when i changed the fuel pump it got wreaked. the one shown from lmr is the 3 tab style which i can get here i need the four like the carter one from auto warehouse but the wont ship here.

oh i thought it was the 4 tab, u should be able to go to the ford dealer again and get one sent there from a u.s. dealer.
