Default RE: balancing internaly

Its 50oz external balance now, cast crank strokers will balance to 28oz external, all windsors (69-97) and 302's up until mid year 1981 were 28oz external balance. You will be balancing to 28oz on cast crank strokers, unless you have money falling out of your pocket to internally balance the crank as the counterweights are made to be close to 28oz. Internally balancing a cast stroker crank will require mallory metal, if the crank is a forged unit, depending on which one it may go internal without mallory metal. So if its a cast crank balance to 28oz external which will mean you have to buy a new flywheel/flexplate and harmonic balancer, 28oz external pieces. Yes you can balance a cast stroker crank to 50oz if you want to be cheap and reuse your current flywheel/flexplate and harmonic balancer but its highly advisable NOT to. So in the end, balance the rotating assembly to 28oz and buy new flywheel and harmonic balancer.
