Like Pro said, The white is for the light so when you turn on your dash lights the tach's light comes on so be sure to find a source for that. The power is a key on source, not just running off the battery. I don't know about all tachs but the one I have from autometer has a couple of wires that are looped in the back. Those are for different size motors.....4 cyl,6 cyl..... if you have those there don't bother them. You don't have to do anything with those.

Did you buy it off of ebay or something?????

That's OK. It happens to all of us from time to time.

Does anyone know if a tach. adapter is available for early EE-4 ignitions, that just plugs on to coil and provides the negative wire to an aftermarket tach?? Thanks: AL
