hi there first off i am new to this site and would just like to say hello to everyone.I own a 92 hatch 5 speed mustang and recently had a set of bbk longtubes installed..had issues with the stock steering shaft so went out and bought a flaming river shaft...my problem is that the new shaft still slightly rubs on the header ..now i know i can heat up and dent the header but i was wondering if it safe to just remove the steeing shaft and grind it down a little.... anyone else have thi issue?thanks

i've never heard of an issue like that, maybe you could take it to a muffler shop and have the readjust the header or something

Did you try to adjust the motor mounts, alot of you people use the vert mounts for extra clearance

I have a vert with energy suspension motor mount and tranny mount.I have mac long tubes and i did use the stock steering shaft and it did rub for about a month now its not go figure.I really dont like after market steering shafts b/c of the vibration not saying there bad or anything.

i was kinda leaning towards the mounts...they have never been changed so i was thinking they might be the issue...i will defenitely look into it...thanks guys
