Urgent Gas Tank Question.

Alright, we bought a new gas tank for the 79. It seems they coat them in some sort of oil before they stick them into the box, does the tank need to be cleaned ? Or can we just install the tank and put gas in and run the motor ?

If it were mine, I would just install it and run it. If you do clean it, I would flush it with gasoline and run the dirty gas in my lawnmower or something.
