94 GT Lean Condition CEL's
I just bought a 94 Gt which is now getting a CEL. I had it checked at a local parts store and got three codes. I don't remember the codes for the first 2 (I think they were 181 and 189), but I do know they were lean condition on fuel banks 1 and 2. The other was 556 which is some type of intermittent fuel pump issue. I'm guessing it's the pump but am not sure. I hooked a fuel pressure guage up and at idle w/ the vac line on it read 32psi. W/ the line off it read 40. The haynes manual say 30 - 45 line on and 40 - 50 line off but this seems like a wide spectrum that I seem to be on the low side of. I also tried pinching the return line like the manual says to see if the prerssure goes up but I'm not sure if I got it closed off good and don't really like doing this and taking a chance on hurting the line. Anyone had this before?

I can't believe no one has had this before. Well I plan on throwing some money under the hood on down the road anyway so I guess I'll pick a high vol. fuel pump and adj. reg. and see if that doesn't take care of it.
