In 93 when they came out I owned a stock 93 Mustang LX. They would typically put about 3 lenths on my LX at the time. Stock LT1's ran high 13's to low 14's depending, so say it was around a 14.0 car average. So depending on what kind of times you run currently, there you go.

for what is is worth, i ran a stock lt1 T/A 6 speed and i had 3.73s, short headers, x pipe with high flow cats, stock catback, and a short throw shifter and underdrive pullies adn i was door to door with him with my 95 gt when i bought it

Like NoGo95GT said they have awsome low end and not too much of a top end(really similar to a 5.0[&:]) so if you can get him out of the hole you might be able to manage to stay ahead untul the end of the race. I would say a bolt on fox with a set of DRs and maybe a 75 shot would put him away pretty handily.

oh really? cause i beat one of those pos camaros HANDS DOWN with my BONE stock fox..... so dont try saying i dont know what i've done. they are crap, if it were a ls1 those are much better engines. have you ever raced one with a stock fox? if not then dont open your mouth

thats far from a true statement. ls1's have all of 30 horses over an lt1 stock. not to mention lt1's have almost the same capabilities as an ls1. if you actually beat one with a stock fox then the lt1 needs a driver mod. sure it was close in the vid i posted but you can tell that he was edging forward and woulda won either way. not calling bs on your story just saying a stock fox shouldn't actually beat an lt1 firebird.

Where are you getting your info? 30hp? lol LS1's have closer to 70 more HP over a LT1. A stock fox VS a LT1 should be a fairly close race considering the fox has a weight advantage.

A stock 93-97 TransAm will dyno 240 at the wheels(someone on LT-1 forums dynoed 244, i think stock). A 98-02 Transam will dyno at 300-310. So a LS1 has a lot more power than a lt1
