i have a 88 gt so far i have long tube headers off road x pipe and flowmasters king cobra clutch 3.73 mgw short throw shifter elec fan convt to mass air msd coil and frpp wires i have gt 40 heads and intake and a e303 cam that i have to put in will this be engough to beat a stock 98 z28 vert auto

If you hook good and candrive you should beat him. LS1s run very good...if GM put them in a car that actually weighed less than a shortbus, we'd really be f***ed.

being an owner of a ls1 camaro and a 302 gt i can say you should not win. him being a vert will help you and if your car is lightned some and your car hooks good you should be able to get him outta the hole. if hes bone stock and on street tires i could see you winning till around 70-80 mph then the ls1 will prob walk right past you. but its the street anything can happen and there are many other factors but basic math says a 250RWHP car at like 3300Llbs vs a 300-310RWHP car at 3600 lbs should be a good race but you probley arent going to have the topend to match. hope i helped some.

there are ways to hide spray honestly thats what your going to need, unless that car is a peice of crap and is not taken care of properly. its probly a mid 13 car at best so just compare that to what your car has done or should do. they will trap around 100-102 stock if its a vert probly as well. for reference my buddy did 8.4 @ 84 in the 1/8th stock with only a lid and full weight which is equivelent to 13.18-19@104-105
